“Frequently asked questions at De Paardekreek”

General

Are pets allowed on holiday?

Pets are allowed on request at De Paardekreek. Please ensure that your pet is always registered, so that we can reserve a pitch/accommodation where pets are allowed.

Dogs are welcome at the campsite and villa park, on a leash. Please take your dog out outside the campsite and bungalow park. To stay the night at De Paardekreek with your dog, you will have to pay €6.00 per dog per night.

Are youths and/or groups allowed at De Paardekreek?

De Paardekreek is a family campsite and is aimed at children up to 12 years of age. Young people are therefore not permitted without adult supervision. Groups are allowed in consultation outside the high season periods. At De Paardekreek, there is a nightly rest period from 22:00 to 08:00, and the entire park must be quiet.

Is the campsite open all year round?

No, the campsite is open from the beginning of April to the end of October. The sanitary buildings are closed in the winter months, November to March. The swimming and play facilities are open subject to maintenance and works.

Is there wifi available at the park?

On the park you can make use of our wifi network free of charge. All rental accommodations and villas have their own modem, just like at home. Also, when the wifi network is not as fast due to traffic, you can make use of an extra connection at the reception desk.

Where can I charge my electric car?

In possession of an electric car? No problem at De Paardekreek!

Outside the park, you will find 2 charging stations for a total of 4 cars. In the park, at the 1st sanitary building, you will find another 2 charging stations for 4 cars. In the villa park there are also 2 charging stations for a total of 4 cars. You will find these charging stations on the long grass strip near Dijkwoning 29 and Villa 18. At the Zeeuwse Dijksuites there is also a charging station.

For the charging stations you need a charging pass, the pass that can be used at public charging stations.

Camping

Can I put up a small tent next to the caravan?

One small tent (maximum 2 persons) may be placed next to the mobile home or the rental accommodation on the campsite, there are no additional costs involved.

How many Amps of electricity are available per pitch?

Each pitch has 10 amps.

We are coming with two cars during our stay, is this possible?

The campsite pitches and rental accommodations have room for one car at the most. Do you come with more cars? Then they can be parked outside the park. On the villa park you can park a maximum of 2 cars per bungalow.

What does a comfort pitch entail?

All camping pitches at De Paardekreek are comfort pitches and have their own electricity and television connections, as well as their own water connection and drainage.

Separate settings apply to the reception of digital television. You can obtain these during your stay at the reception.

Accommodations

Can I park my car by the pitch or accommodation?

A maximum of one car can be parked per pitch. The same applies if you have booked rental accommodation at the campsite. At the villa park two cars can be parked per villa.

Can we stay with more than the permitted number of people in an accommodation?

If the additional persons are under 4 years of age and sleep in a cot, this is allowed.

Is it possible to reserve children's furniture?

It is possible to reserve a high chair or cot, the costs are €6 per piece per stay. When you book one of our villas, you can choose to book a child-friendly villa. This means that the sockets are secured, there is a stair gate at the bottom of the stairs and the garden around the villa is fenced. A child's bed, playpen and child's chair are also present. For our child-friendly villas you pay € 30,- extra per stay.

Is there an oven or microwave in the accommodation?

Each villa has a combi microwave oven, all other accommodations have a microwave oven.

What kind of coffee machine is there in the accommodation?

In the lodges, houseboats, chalets and villas there is a regular coffee machine as well as a Senseo coffee machine. The hiker's huts have a filter coffee machine. In the Zeeland Dike Suites, the Kreeksuite and the Mus suites, there is a Nespresso coffee machine.

Arrival & departure

Can we check in earlier?

In quiet periods it is possible to check in earlier. If you wish to check in earlier, please contact us in advance by telephone or e-mail.

What are the arrival and departure times?

Camping: arrival from 14.00 hrs, departure before 11.00 hrs. 

Rented accommodation/villa: arrival from 15.00 hrs, departure before 10.00 hrs.

What if I arrive later than the reception's opening hours?

Should you arrive later than 18:00, we would appreciate it if you would inform us in advance by telephone or e-mail. The key of the rental accommodation/villa can then be collected elsewhere.
For a camping pitch or rental accommodation on the campsite you can drive onto the site until 22:00, for the villa park the barrier is accessible 24 hours a day.

Facilities & opening hours

Is there a swimming pool in the park?

There is a heated outdoor swimming pool, which is 20 metres long and 10 metres wide. In addition, the pool is up to 1.38 metres deep. There is also a children's pool, the water here is up to 80 cm deep. There is also a water play paradise at the park; an indoor water play area with a large slide. The water is up to 40 cm deep and there is a shallow paddling pool. The water playground leads to the indoor pool. For adults (from 21 years) there is a wellness area with whirlpool and sauna. The sauna costs €10 per hour. The sauna must be booked via reception at least 30 minutes beforehand.

When is the recreation team present?

The recreation team is present during the May holiday, Ascension, Whitsun, all weekends in June, the summer holiday and the autumn holiday.

The team provides activities for children up to 12 years of age. In the summer holidays there is a teenage entertainer who organises sporty and adventurous activities for the older children.

Reservation & payment

Can I cancel my holiday?

If you have purchased cancellation insurance through De Paardekreek, you may cancel your holiday after submitting proof of this. If you have not taken out insurance and you cancel your holiday, you will be charged at least 15% of the basic price (minimal €25,-), in accordance with the RECRON conditions. A cancellation must always be done by e-mail.

How can I pay for my reservation?

You will receive a confirmation by e-mail after you have made your reservation. In this mail you will find all information concerning the payment of your booking.
